Okay, so life has gotten busy and I haven't taken the time to update my blog regularly like I should be doing.

A lot has happened since I last wrote. First off, I got to move up into my painted apartment at the end of December! It is wonderful to have my own space!

And Janine came back to stay here at HATS for 2 months. She was here for 3 weeks in October while I was in BC, she then went to New Missions for a week and then up to Mirebalais in Central Haiti for 3 months. She is another BC girl - she is from Kelowna.
She arrived here Feb 15th and we have had a blast together since then. She is staying upstairs with me in my apartment. We are getting along fabulously and I am really enjoying having another young single gal here with me. We have started going for walks along the canal either early in the morning or around 5pm when it cools off but is not yet dark out.
We stayed up into all hours of the night the first couple days Janine was back, just getting to know one another. It was a really great bonding time for us as both of us had been here by ourselves and I wasn't sure how we would get along, having heard about her from Karen but not having met her and the same for Janine with me, she had heard all about me while I was in BC sick but never got a chance to meet me.
I have really enjoyed having some one closer to my own age to talk to and Janine & I have talked about SO much, it is unbelievable how comfortable we feel with each other. I know that I am going to miss having her around when she leaves but Janine has already mentioned that she would like to drive down from Kelowna to see me while I am out in May.
