getting into your work...

Now this is what I call "getting into your work!" Jacques, our hard working gardner, got down on his hands and knees and crawled under the bridge that comes up to our gate over the small canal/ditch outside our property. We have had 6 guys cleaning out the canal for three days and they took out all the weeds, cleaned out the mud that has collected and made it so that the water will actually flow through it and not just sit stagnant. But the water is not what you would want to crawl in - but yet here's Jacques, doing his best to make sure that the job is done well - cleaning out the mud with his bare hands, down on his knees in the muck. Some of the guys you could tell were not happy with the muddy work but wanted the money, others -like Jacques and a couple guys who often do day labour for us - they were right in there .

Check it out!

Well, after a lot of hard work and combined efforts by Brian, Stacey (contagious design.net) & I. HATS-Haiti now has their own website up and running. You can find us online at www.hats-haiti.com. There are still some items I need to put up but for the most part everything is there. There is a online photo gallery that I will keep updated and all the HATS updates are on there as well!

For those of you who wanted to know more about what I do here in Haiti - this is a good place to look and find out more info!
